CURRENT SERMON SERIES: THE THRILL OF HOPE
Hope has been defined as “an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation or desired outcome of an event or circumstance.” It is usually used as a verb and carries with it a weight of uncertainty. For you, perhaps, you are…
“…hoping this Christmas will be better than last year.”
“…hoping that the doctor’s test results come back favorably.”
“…hoping that I get ________ for Christmas.”
“…hoping to lose weight and get in shape next year.”
On Sunday morning, December 3, we begin our Advent Series entitled The Thrill of HOPE. We'll look at the biblical definition of hope to guide us through the next 5 weeks. We’ll discover that biblical hope—which is rooted in Christ—is the exact opposite of uncertainty! As we look to the Word of God to deepen our understanding and bring us wisdom, we are filled with hope eternal and rejoice in the work of Christ. Let us gather together to behold the wondrous mystery of Christ, the Son of God!
