What is
Faith Promise?
Faith Promise
is a means of funding missions in the local church. It
has been used for many years to help congregations increase
their giving to God's missionary work. It is a commitment
to God, based on His provision, to give a certain amount
of money over a specific period of time. It is not based
on what you have in your bank account right now - the
aim is higher. We urge you to ask God what amount He will
enable you to give to missions this year.
Faith Promise
provides a way for God to enable an individual or family
to give to missions more than what calculations show they
can. The "Promise" is to give in "Faith"
that God will provide. In one sense, there is no risk,
because you give as God provides. On the other hand, it
is a risk, because you begin to give toward the commitment
even before God provides! Remember, we can never outgive
God.
Why is Faith Promise Important?
| It builds
our faith. It reminds us to trust God for His provisions
(2 Corinthians 5:7) |
| |
| It opens
the possibility for more money to be dedicated for
local and global missions. |
| |
| It allows
families to participate together. All of the members
of a family can make a commitment and trust God to
provide during the course of the year. This becomes
a great way for parents to teach their children about
giving and trusting God. |
| |
| "They
gave as much as they were able and even beyond their
ability." - 2 Corinthians 8:3 |

How can
you participate?
| Pray about
what specific amount God would have you commit to
giving. |
| |
| Start
giving! When you write a check, make it out to HHPC,
and note in the Memo line "Faith Promise Gift".
We also have Faith Promise envelopes in the worship
center which you can use. |
| |
| Start
looking for the ways God will provide for you to meet
your commitment. |
