Eric Walter - Pastor of Family Life
Following 10 years in the hi-tech recruiting and software sales industry, Eric spent 4 years earning his M.Div. at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. While a full-time student, he led a Young Marrieds group and the Singles ministry, as an intern at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC. Even though Eric was raised in the Maryland suburbs of DC, he still considers himself a Southerner by marriage (his wife Fran is a born and bred Texan and three of his kids were born there). Eric and Fran have been married for 12 years, and have 4 children: twin boys (Ed & Ethan) and two daughters (Allison & Olivia). In his free time, Eric enjoys hunting, kayaking, keeping up with blogs, playing XBOX with his kids and relaxing with his family.
Tim Malchak - Music Director
A resident of the Lowcountry since 1992, Tim has been a professional musician/singer/songwriter for over 30 years and was an award winning international recording artist in Nashville,TN. He was the assistant music director at The Church of the Cross in Bluffton before joining our church in 2003. He is also the founder and president of Tim Malchak Ministries, a concert ministry dedicated to "winning the lost to Christ by the sharing of our faith through witness, music, and testimony." He is a single parent and has three children, Bryan, Travis, and Katy. Tim leads "The Way of the Master" evangelism training at HHPC; he teaches the Basic Training Course on an ongoing basis.
